UNDENIABLE GOODS

As interns at TBWA\Chiat\Day, we were tasked to create unique merchandise that embodies the spirit of the agency.

The Idea: Undeniable Goods – A line of customizable apparel inspired by iconic moments in TBWA history.

Our coworkers were invited to our pop-up shop to screen print our designs on new or thrifted apparel - making every piece uniquely their own.

We wanted to nod to some of the agency’s most recent successful work - so we used thrifted apparel and made it into our own as a reflection of the recent campaign “Billie Jean King Your Shoes.”

Billie Jean King herself asked for a custom piece of apparel. But more about that below in the “results” section…

The designs were inspired by iconic campaigns and moments in TBWA history, including Apple’s “1984” commercial and Columbia Journalism’s “Fake Newsstand.” I was a part of the team who created the designs.

“RESULTS”

The first DIY pop-up shop in Chiat\Day history

CEO Rob Schwartz approved (proven when he screen-printed onto his suit jacket)

When asked for permission to use her “likeness,” Billie Jean King asked for a piece of her own

Picked up by AdAge the following day

”Good enough to wait in line for admission” - according to a nice coworker on Instagram

“Wow I’d actually wear this merch” - according to a nice coworker IRL and proven around the office daily
